I bought this stand specifically for taking pictures of gold plated necklaces. I was attracted to the word "with Leather" and it was also on sale. I guess, I was expecting something different. It feels like it covering not faux leather but imitation leather paper. But I could be wrong about that. It's not too shiny but it's not matte either and has some reflection when you photograph. Need some practice. I got one with a small dent near the bottom (see one photo). Also pay attention to the dimensions. 30 cm high is not too high. The necklaces in my photos are 18 inches. If you have a longer necklace this stand will probably be too short. Other than the dent it is decently made, fairly stable and has been packaged well. For photography purposes so-so, unless you have expensive studio equipment.
